I wanted to share my list of books I plan to read this year. I’ve decided to read 24 books in 12 months… so 2 books per month. I will obviously read more over the summer, but I can also use those months to catch up if I fall terribly behind during student teaching this semester. (Let’s be real, I’ll fall behind with the way my weeks are going right now.)
The books are a strange assortment of Christian living books, literature classics I’ve never read but feel like I should as an English teacher, and contemporary reads suggested by others. I’m excited!!
So here’s the breakdown:
January: Unglued by Lysa TerKeurst & Good to Great by Jim Collins
February: Love Does by Bob Goff & Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
March: Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card & Explicit Gospel by Matt Chandler
April: Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden & Unleashed by Perry Noble
May: Who Do You Think You Are? by Mark Driscoll & Open Heart by Elie Wiesel
June: A Million Little Pieces by James Frey & Soul Detox by Craig Groeschel
July: It Starts With Food by Melissa Harting & Girl With a Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larson
August: Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier & Multiply by Francis Chan
September: Water for Elephants by Sara Green & On Writing by Stephen King
October: Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas & Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
