It’s been a while since I have posted. There have been plenty of days I’ve thought about it, and known exactly what I wanted to write, but I just haven’t gotten to it. There have also been days when I’ve had the time to write but had no idea what to say.
I came across this “taking stock” exercise today and thought I would use it as a catalyst to get back into the blog. You’ll get a glimpse of what’s been going on with the Halls too 🙂
Making: plans for next school year
Drinking: The Blackberry Fence Hopper from Shake
Reading: On Writing by Stephen King. I read this once when I was in high school, but I am refreshing my memory for a new course next year. I also packed The Fringe Hours for our beach trip (we are here through Wednesday).
Wanting: This gorgeous canvas from Lindsay Letters for our living room
Looking: At teacher blogs. Lots of changes are coming to my classroom in the fall and I’m trying to prep in any way I can.
Playing: footsie 😉
Wasting: Time. The bliss of vacation.
Sewing: Nothing. Ever. Not my thing. (In fact.. I need to learn how to sew buttons back onto a few pairs of pants. I will be searching YouTube for help next week.)
Wishing: For more sunshine over the next few days.
Enjoying: Having zero plans for the next few days.
Waiting: For a more acceptable bedtime than 8:00.
Wondering: What my students are up to this week (yes, I still think of them over breaks) and what the rest of this year has in store for us.
Loving: how God has moved in churches across the world this weekend for Easter
Hoping: my students take something away from my class this semester
Marveling: at God’s goodness
Needing: a massage
Smelling: the beach air
Wearing: A t-shirt and Star Wars pajama pants 🙂
Noticing: the little things.
Knowing: God’s grace covers me.
Thinking: How grateful I am for our friends and family.
Bookmarking: Organization hacks.
Opening: New books… I binged on Amazon this week.
Giggling: at lame teacher memes and “Big Bang Theory.”
