Friday Five 013

Here’s what I’m loving this week…

A holiday collection
If you’re anything like me, you’re already considering how you’ll decorate for the holidays. TheArtBar by Lindsay Letters just announced their 2018 holiday collection (with free shipping until Sunday!) and there’s a little something for everyone. (Click here for the Christmas specific pieces.) Each piece is available as a print, framed print, or canvas in a variety of sizes, colors, and price points — starting at $24. I love the White Christmas pieces (Count Your Blessings, Sisters,  and Snow), because of all our family memories. There are also several wonderful pieces from carols and hymns (O Holy Night, Silent Night, and O Little Town of Bethlehem, to name a few).

A 2019 resource
If you’ve followed me for any amount of time here, you know I’m a big fan of goal setting. Resources from Cultivate What Matters play a huge part in that. Their 2019 collection came out several weeks ago, and my goal planner (see above) arrived only days later. I’m so excited to start dreaming for 2019! They’ve got more accessories than ever this year, and I was impressed with the Best Year Yet bundle. I’m trying to be a bit more minimal these days, so I only bought the planner this time.

I’ve used Lara & team’s goal setting process for five years now, and I really love it. The goal planner is without-a-doubt worth it. Even if you aren’t interested in purchasing, be sure to check back at the end of December on Lara’s blog for a modified version of the process you can go through for free. She walks through her own goal setting with you, and there’s always fun freebies in the series!

A more diverse Congress
Whew. Midterms are (not quite) over. There were several disappointing outcomes, but I love all the firsts achieved in Tuesday’s midterms for women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and non-Christian religious groups. It’s the beginnings of a more diverse, representative governing body, and that’s a step in the right direction.

A fun t-shirt
Nothing crazy to see here, just a cute t-shirt from Nellie Taft to serve as a “subtle reminder to not sweat the small stuff.” Also, it’s from a fair trade company. Yep, this made the Christmas list.

An encouraging voice for women
Michelle Obama’s book Becoming is on my to-read list, and I am so grateful for the way she’s using her story to help women feel less alone during a terrible time in their life. While I have not experienced a miscarriage myself, many women I love have. Her efforts to reduce the stigma around loss and infertility is inspiring.

That’s all I’ve got for today. Now, what are you loving this week?
